Protecting you from monkeypox – information on the smallpox vaccination – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
You may be aware that the government have announced a monkeypox pre exposure vaccination programme for specified cohorts, such as gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) at highest risk of exposure. This is currently planned to be delivered through a limited number of sexual health services nationally, and the vaccine will not be available in primary care at this time.
Due to the limited amount of vaccine available initially, sexual health services will contact patients directly if eligible for the vaccine, therefore please advise patients not to contact services unless invited to do so.
