From 1 August 2026, we are changing the way we carry out long-term condition (LTC) reviews.
Previously, blood tests were often completed during your LTC review appointment, and we would contact you afterwards with the results.
From 1 August 2026, patients will be required to complete any requested blood tests and urine samples before their LTC review appointment. This will enable the nurse to review your up-to-date results with you during the appointment and determine whether any changes to your treatment or management plan are needed.
Completing your tests in advance will help us provide a more effective and comprehensive review, reducing the need for follow-up contact after your appointment.
If you are due an LTC review, we will advise you when to arrange your blood test appointment and any urine samples required.
